Harry: Hey guys! Ready for some fun with tactics?

Jamie: Always! What do you have in mind?

Marnie: We play this game called SPAF.

Jess: SPAF? What on earth is that? It sounds really weird.

Marnie: It stands for Skewers, Pins And Forks!

Jess: Ohhhh, that would make sense.

Jamie: So, how do we play?

Harry: Basically, we just play a normal game of chess, but we get rewarded for any tactics that we see. The more we see, the more points we get. The person with the most points at the end is the winner.

Marnie: We run SPAF tournaments. As soon as someone does a pin, fork or skewer, they have to put up their hand. If they name the tactic correctly, they get points.

Jess: That sounds really fun!

Harry: Remember, the aim of the game is not to checkmate, but to create the tactics. So, no bonus points for checkmating early.

Jamie: Fine by me, I prefer to do tactics anyway!

Marnie: How about you and Jess play and Harry and I will be the arbiters first and award you points? Then we switch once you have the hang of it?

Jess: Sounds good. What is the scoring system?

Harry: You can use anything, but this is what we use:
